My Life in Sunny Isles Beach
I have been a resident of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida’s Riviera for nearly 7 years. Prior to that, and since I was seven years old, my family and I had been vacationing to this area for decades. Sunny Isles arguably has the best beach on the eastern Florida coastline and certainly one of the most ideal locations to live being that all Hollywood, Plantation, Fort Lauderdale, South Beach, Miami and Doral are all within 15-30 minutes driving distance.
Furthermore, the bus system running along the A1A (Collins Avenue) is perhaps the most efficient and useful in all of Miami-Dade County. The south and south western areas are bordered by beautiful city and state parks (Haulover Park & Oleta River State Park respectively), and the Isle itself is completely surrounded by water. This island is home to some of the most affluent people in the world, the city has a near zero crime rate, and it is a wonderfully scenic and peaceful place to live.
Personally, I enjoy the beach and beachside / intracoastal activities. From Fishing to Boating to Paddle boarding, I do try my best to get out as often as possible. New experiences lead to growth of one’s spirit, and I enjoy experiencing that growth whenever possible. Since moving to Sunny Isles, I have even been known to frequent Haulover Park‘s famous nude beach. On the weekends, when I do go, I have encountered some wonderful and interesting people; some of whom I have become very friendly with; from Naturists to other “LifeStylers”, you never know who you may encounter there! Haulover Park also acts as a training ground for me. Since moving here and walking the 2 miles of the beach, each way, I have managed to lose more than 35 pounds walking down to the Haulover Inlet and back at a swift pace. Practicing Yoga on the boulders that border the Haulover Inlet is challenging and rewarding.
When I am not enjoying myself on the beach, I love to indulge in the local cuisine. I can often be found at El Tropico, a Cuban Cafe located at the 170th Street Shopping Center. I highly recommend their coffee (best on the beach in my opinion) and their pulled pork! The Indian Restaurant called The Copper Chimney is top notch, and I often take my business clients there to eat. Other good places for working lunches are Epicure, Mozart Cafe, and the Aroma Cafe. The food is excellent at all three; and both Epicure and Aroma Cafe each have high speed WiFi Internet Access at no charge.
Sunny Isles Beach is a great place to live and do business. Their are innumerable activities to enjoy and equally, possibilities for business. There is a very large concentration of Real Estate Brokerages located in Sunny Isles Beach, and for a very good reason. Tower development continues, and Sales, Rentals & Leases are commanding ever higher prices over the past few years. But even more important is the fact that a very large number of wealthy business people, specifically, real estate investors, call Sunny Isles Beach home; and where better to network with these individuals than where they work and play!
